These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the use of GoldMine (the "Service"), a mobile game provided by Hyosub Lee(the "Operator," "we," "us," or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms apply when a user downloads, installs, launches, or uses the Service. By using the Service, the user agrees to these Terms. If the user does not agree, the user should not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

The Service is a casual puzzle game for Android devices. Users can avoid mines, collect coins, and challenge their high score.

The Service can be used without the Service's own account registration. High score, sound settings, vibration settings, and onboarding settings are stored locally on the user's device. Google Play Games Services sign-in may be used for leaderboard functionality.

The Service uses app analytics through Firebase Analytics to improve game quality and adjust difficulty. The Service provides leaderboard functionality through Google Play Games Services. The Service does not currently provide ads, rewarded ads, in-app purchases, Operator-managed server-side saves, achievements, or cloud saves.

3. Use Conditions

Users must use the Service in compliance with applicable laws, platform policies, and these Terms. If a minor is required to obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian, the minor must obtain such consent before using the Service.

The Service is provided for personal and non-commercial use. Users may not use the Service for commercial purposes, or copy, distribute, sell, rent, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Service, without our prior written consent.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

  • Interfere with the normal operation of the Service
  • Exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or abnormal methods to manipulate records or rewards
  • Manipulate or submit Google Play Games leaderboard scores or rankings through abnormal methods
  • Use automation tools, macros, modified apps, or hacking tools
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of the Service or the Operator
  • Violate applicable laws, public order, morals, or platform policies
  • Infringe the rights or interests of third parties

If prohibited conduct is detected, we may take necessary measures such as restricting access to the Service, deleting records, or limiting customer support.

5. Game Records and Saved Data

High score and settings are stored locally on the user's device. Local records may be deleted due to app deletion, clearing app data, device changes, OS errors, or storage corruption.

The Service may submit and display high scores through Google Play Games Services leaderboards. Leaderboard scores and rankings may be displayed, restricted, hidden, or deleted according to Google Play Games Services and the user's Google Play Games account settings.

Because the Service does not provide Operator-managed accounts or Operator-managed server-side saves, we do not guarantee backup or restoration of local records.

6. Ads and Payments

The Service does not currently provide ads, rewarded ads, in-app purchases, paid items, or subscriptions.

7. Analytics

The Service uses Firebase Analytics to improve game quality, adjust difficulty, and identify parts of the game that may cause issues. Analytics may process app usage events and summary values such as game start, stage start/clear/failure, game over, restart, onboarding, hint use, and quake events.

7-1. Google Play Games Leaderboards

The Service provides leaderboard functionality through Google Play Games Services. Users may be unable to use leaderboard functionality, or some functionality may be limited, depending on Google Play Games sign-in status, Google Account settings, network status, or Google Play Games service status.

To the extent not caused by our fault, we are not responsible if leaderboards do not display or operate properly due to Google Play Games Services failures, policy changes, score processing delays, the user's Google Play Games profile visibility settings, or account issues.

We or Google may take necessary measures such as restricting display, hiding, or deleting abnormal scores, suspected manipulated scores, or records that violate these Terms or platform policies.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights in and to the Service, including game implementation, source code, graphics, UI, sound, documents, trademarks, and logos, belong to the Operator or their rightful owners.

Users are granted only the right to use the Service and do not acquire ownership of the Service or its content.

9. Changes, Suspension, and Termination

We may change, suspend, or terminate all or part of the Service for service improvement, operational needs, technical reasons, or compliance with laws or platform policies.

Where practicable, we will provide prior notice of material changes or termination. However, if urgent security issues, failures, or potential platform policy violations occur, notice may be provided afterward.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will always operate without errors on all devices, OS versions, or usage environments.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for damages arising from:

  • Issues caused by the user's fault
  • Loss of local records caused by device changes, app deletion, clearing app data, or storage corruption
  • Failures of third-party services such as networks, platforms, app stores, Firebase, or Google Play Games Services
  • Leaderboard display restrictions caused by Google Play Games account settings, profile visibility settings, service policies, or abnormal score prevention measures
  • Force majeure events such as natural disasters, war, terrorism, power outages, or communication failures
  • The user's violation of these Terms or applicable laws

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

11. Privacy

We process information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is provided separately and explains how information is handled in connection with the Service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms due to changes in laws, platform policies, Service features, or operational needs. If material changes are made, we will provide notice through appropriate methods such as in-app notice, store listing, or a web page.

If a user does not agree to the updated Terms, the user may stop using the Service. Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective may be deemed acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If a dispute arises in connection with the Service, the Operator and the user will first attempt to resolve it through good-faith discussions.

If the dispute cannot be resolved through discussions, it may be resolved by a competent court or dispute resolution body under applicable law.
